Dear Parents and Parents-to-be,
Hats off to
you for choosing (or considering) breastfeeding!
I
grew up in a pro-breastfeeding household--my mother was a La Leche League
leader. As the eldest of four children, I attended many-a-meeting filled with
mamas and babes sitting in a circle, babes attached to the nipple while mamas
listened, questioned and laughed about their nursing experiences. At home, I was
also privy to one side of many a phone conversation, my mother listening and
guiding an often discouraged nursing mother. I also remember snuggling up to my
auntie, watching contentedly as her baby suckled at her breast.
Carrying
positive breastfeeding memories into adulthood, I began my breastfeeding career
in 1998 with the birth of my daughter, Syan; it was my turn to discover
first-hand the wonders of breastfeeding. Backed by awesome breastfeeding support
that started in childhood, I was able to overcome breastfeeding challenges (from breast infection to
biting), and appreciate the opportunity to offer my child a solid foundation for mental, physical and emotional
growth.

Wanting
to share my love of breastfeeding and make it as easy and joyful as
possible for other families to offer nature's perfect food to their
babies, I created Bosom
Buddies Breastfeeding Clothing and Accessories. It began in 1999 as an in-home service, then grew to
include road trips and a website. Today, as I mother a second beauty (Octavia,
born 2004), time is of the essence and Bosom Buddies is run primarily as a website.
You
(with
a breastfeeding babe on one arm and two preschoolers on the
other) feel that time is of the essence, too?? To help you
shop, then, as efficiently and confidently as possible, I
offer to you:
1.
my personal guarantee the
nursing clothing and accessories on this site are among the best on the market;
and
2.
personalized service for a proper fit, whether it be by
communication in person,
by telephone using Bosom Buddies toll-free
number
(1-877-635-4242), or
by email. (What this means is that there
is indeed a concerned human being behind your computer screen
looking forward to answering your questions about our quality products.)

Breastfeeding
is rewarding...and almost always challenging in one way or another; do not despair. You are in the midst of a grand network of
breastfeeding women and resources: books, the Internet, La Leche League, public
health units, your neighbours. My advice to you is to surround yourself with supportive people—and
listen closely to yourself and your precious child. All my best to you in
parenting your precious little ones.
Sincerely,

Stéphanie Johnson, Owner
